earn 1000 dollars from home

Are you trying to learn how to make money fast on the internet? If so, you may have come upon many sites that are scams. Avoid sites that promise thousands of dollars with no work involved like the plague!

There are some genuine methods you can use to make money online very quickly, and I will share a few ideas with you.Probably the easiest way to make money online is by doing surveys. For me, these are too redundant and boring to do very many of, but many people make thousands per month participating in surveys. You can easily earn $25 and more per hour, so you don't have to do that many if you just need some extra spending money.

Anything you choose is going to require some work, so be prepared to apply yourself to whatever method you choose. Here are some other options I have used myself.
How to Make Money Fast on the Internet

1. Write for other people. Did you know that there are thousands of people looking for someone to write for them? You can write articles, blog posts, or create content for websites for other webmasters. Many people don't like to write and are willing to pay someone to do it for them.

2. Join an affiliate program. You can actually make money online by selling other merchants products! This is my favorite way of making money quick online. Put up a free blog, add a few posts about your topic, write some articles and you are ready to go! Takes a little practice, but you can make an excellent income using this method.

3. Data entry. There aren't many true data entry sites, but there are a few good sites where there are many options for typing and data entry type work. For a small one time membership fee, you have access to hundreds of data entry and typing jobs. The membership fee is for access to the huge data base of jobs and the information and online help provided to you to help you get started.

These are a few answers to your question "how to make money fast on the internet". Of course there are other things you can do, too many to even mention. The point is, the sooner you get started doing something you like, the faster you will begin making money.

A little extra bit of information: If you are motivated and self driven, you CAN make money online with just a little effort. Most people who are really successful make out a daily plan of what work they want to do that day, and stick to it. This is especially true with affiliate marketing.

Make Money Online (Without Spending a Dime)

Making money online used to pretty much require you to have your own Web site, products to sell and some marketing savvy. But a new generation of dot-coms have arisen that will pay you for what you know and who you know without you having to be a web designer or a marketing genius.

But it's hard to tell hype from the real deal. I did a search on "make money online" and "making money online", and much of the information out there is just promoting various infoproducts, mostly about Internet marketing. I see why people sometimes ask, "Is anyone making money online besides Internet marketing experts?"

So I put together a list of business opportunities with legitimate companies that:

  • Pay cash, not just points towards rewards or a chance to win money
  • Don't require you to have your own Web domain or your own products
  • Don't involve any hard-selling
  • Aren't just promoting more Internet marketing
  • Give a good return on your time investment
In the interest of objectivity, none of the links below are affiliate links, and none of them have paid or provided any other consideration for their presence here. These are legitimate companies with business models that allow you to get paid for a wide range of activities.

Help friends find better jobs.

Sites like ReferEarns, Zyoin, Who Do You Know For Dough?, Bohire and WiseStepp connect employers with prospective employees, many of whom are already employed and not actively job-hunting, via networking - the people who know these qualified candidates. Rewards for referring a candidate who gets hired range from $50 on up to several thousand dollars - not chump change. If you know a lot of job-seekers (and who doesn't these days?), this is a great way to break into the recruiting business with no overhead.

Connect suppliers with buyers.

Referral fees are a common practice in business, but they haven't been used much in online networking sites because there was no way to track them. Sites like Salesconx, InnerSelland uRefer now provide that. Vendors set the referral fees they're willing to pay (and for what), and when the transaction happens, you get paid. uRefer also allows merchants to set up referral programs for introductions and meetings, as well as transactions.

Write.

A growing number of sites will pay for your articles or blog posts. Associated Content andHelium will "pay for performance" based on page views for just about anything you want to write about. Articles on specific topics they're looking for can earn direct payments up to about $200. The rates are probably low for established writers, but if you're trying to break into the field and have time on your hands, they're a great way to start. Also, a lot of companies are looking for part-time bloggers. They may pay per post or on a steady contract. Our Weblogs Guide posts blogging jobs weekly in the forum.

Start your own blog.

You don't have to have your own Web site, or install blogging software, or even figure out how to set up the advertising. At Blogger you can set up a blog for free in less than five minutes without knowing a thing about web design, and Blogger even automates setting up Google AdSense so you can make money off your blog by displaying ads and getting paid when people click on the ads. To make even more money from it, set up an affiliate program (see below) for books, music, etc., and insert your affiliate links whenever you refer to those items. You'll have to get a lot of traffic to become a six-figure blogger, but pick an interesting topic, write well, tell all your friends, and you're off to a good start.

Create topical resource hubs.

Are you an expert on a particular niche topic? Can you put together an overview of the topic and assemble some of the best resources on the topic from around the web? Then you can create topical hubs and get paid through sites like Squidoo, HugPages and Google Knol. Payments are based on a combination of ad revenue and affiliate fees. You'll get higher rates doing it on your own, but these sites have a built-in supply of traffic and tools to make content creation easier.

Advertise other people's products.

If you already have a Web site or a blog, look for vendors that offer related but non-competing products and see if they have an affiliate program. Stick to familiar products and brands - they're easier to sell. To promote those products:

  • Place simple text or graphical ads in appropriate places on your site
  • Include links to purchase products you review or recommend in a blog, discussion forum or mailing list you control
  • Create a dedicated sales page or Web site to promote a particular product
They all work - it just depends on how much time you have to spend on it and your level of expertise with Web design and marketing.

Microstock photography.

You don't have to be a professional photographer to sell your photos for money. People are constantly in need of stock photography for websites, presentations, brochures and so on, and are willing to pay for the right image. People generally search for images on stock photography sites by keywords, not by photographer, so you have the same chance as anyone else of having your image picked. Just be careful that you don't have images of trademarked brands, copyrighted art or people's faces that are readily identifiable (unless you have a model release), but just about anything else is fair game, and I promise - you'd be amazed what people need pictures of, so don't make any assumptions. If it's a decent photo, upload it. Some sites to get you started include Fotolia, ShutterStock, Dreamstimeand iStockphoto. The great thing about this is that it's truly "set it and forget it".

The above list is by no means comprehensive, but it highlights some of the new and interesting ways to make money online without investing any money, without having a product of your own, and without having expert sales and marketing skills. Most of all, unlike taking surveys or getting paid to read e-mail, the potential return on your time investment is substantial.

How to Really Make Money on the Internet With an Amazon.com Affiliate Site

You've probably heard before a lot of hype about how much money you can make with affiliate programs. Maybe you've even set up a site yourself, only to find that after buying the domain, a few bucks a month in hosting, software or a web designer to design your site, etc., that the piddly affiliate fees hardly even covered your cost. Well, here's the hype-free way to really make money with an Amazon.com affiliate site. And it'll only take a day to make the site. The secret? Low cost, low effort.

Here's How:

  1. If you don't already know it, learn some basic HTML. You have to do this to keep your costs down and still get what you want. Even if the site is basically laid out for you, you're going to need to know how to insert images, create hyperlinks, and do some basic text formatting. Our HTML Guide offers a free 10-week HTML class and a great collection of beginning HTML tutorials. Get over any anxiety you have about this. Just do it. You'll thank me for it later.
  2. Decide on your topic. You're going to be doing product reviews and recommendations, so pick a topic that you enjoy and know something about. If you can't stay passionate about the topic, that will show, and it also won't hold your interest. Choose a narrow enough niche to be distinctive, e.g., bands from your city, left-handed guitarists, music for a certain kind of dancing, authors of a certain religion, books about arts & crafts, etc.
  3. Choose your domain name. Make it keyword-rich, not clever. Think how people will find your site in the search engines. Here are some ideas (all available when I first wrote this, though a cfew have been snatched up):
    Music: BandsFromTexas.com, BandOutOfBoston.com, SouthpawGuitarists.com, ClassicPsychedelia.com, Non-Stop-Hip-Hop.com, Merengue-Music.com
    Books: Mormon-Authors.com, Arts-and-Crafts-Books.com, Books-by-Stephen-King.com, ClassicBusinessBooks.com
    Others: Best-Baby-Toys.com, MomsMags.com, FelliniMovies.com
  4. Register your domain name. If you're not technically inclined at all, register your domain wherever you set up your hosting in step 5. Otherwise, you can save a few bucks by choosing a lower-cost provider. Not a big deal for one or two sites, but it can be for ten or twenty. I use GoDaddy, who have great domain management tools and are less than $10 a year. The least expensive I've found from a reputable source is 1&1, whose price is around $7 a year last I checked.
  5. Set up your web hosting. This is where most people get burned. For this kind of site, you do not need $10 a month web hosting! Our Online Business Guide has a list of Cheap Web Hosting for Under $10. Some are as little as $4 a month, with unlimited domains, i.e., you can run several sites like this on the same hosting package.
  6. Install blog software. "Blog, you say?" Yes. It will give your site all the structure you need, plus make it easy to quickly post new content. My pick is WordPress, which is open source (i.e., free), easy to install and use, and yet very powerful. Many hosts have a one-step installation process for it, or you can download it and follow their installation instructions.
  7. Make it pretty. One of the great things about WordPress is the huge variety of templates available for it -- they can completely change the look-and-feel. Our Weblogs Guide has a list of 5 Sites for Free Wordpress Themes, where you can find hundreds of free WordPress themes.
  8. Set up categories. Most blog software allows you to create sub-categories to help organize your entries. This will help visitors narrow in even more specifically on their interests. For example, BandsFromTexas.com might have one group of categories for genre — rock, country, blues, etc. — and another for city of origin — Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, etc.
  9. Sign up as an Amazon Associate. It's simple and free. Just visit Amazon and click on the Join Associates link at the bottom of the page (here's a direct link for your convenience). Your site should already have at least the basic setup done, even if you don't have any content there yet, as they'll review the site manually before approval.
  10. Create your blog posting bookmarks/links. There are two links that are going to be essential for you to make this easy. First is the blog posting link. In your blog software, on the posting page (see their instructions), at the bottom of the page there should be a "bookmarklet". Click on the link (and hold the mouse) and drag it up to your Links toolbar in your browser (assuming Internet Explorer), or your Favorites menu. This will allow you to blog a product with one mouse click.
  11. Create your Amazon Build-A-Link bookmark/link. This will make it easy to build the link with your affiliate ID built in. Log in to Associates Central, look in the left navigation sidebar, go to Build-A-Link, and under Static Links, find Individual Items. Click and drag this onto your Links toolbar or Favorites menu.
  12. Build your first link. Go to Amazon and log in with your Associates account. Find the product you want to review and use the Site Stripe (gray stripe at the top of the screen that you'll see when logged in as an Associate) to get your personalized link to the item. They also offer a variety of other options for creating links and banners.
  13. Blog your review. Now click on your blog posting link (Press It! by default in WordPress). If you're using WordPress, you should now see two pieces of link code in your posting form, the first one ending with "Associates Build-A-Link >< /a >". Delete through that point. The second part is a link to the product with your Amazon Associate ID built in. Now just write your product review, choose the appropriate categories for it, and hit Publish.
  14. Build out your site. Before you promote your site, you want to have some substantial content there. Write several product reviews. Have at least 2-3 in each category you've created. You may also want to make a categories for articles, news, and commentary about your topic. The more content your site has, the better. And the great thing is that while you're writing all this, the search engines are getting notified automatically, assuming you turned on the notifications mentioned in step 6.
  15. Promote your site. The best free way to do this is to communicate with other bloggers writing about similar topics, and to participate in online communities where your topic is discussed. See the Online Business Networking category for ideas, as well as theInternet Marketing category.

Tips:

  1. You have to learn some basic HTML and basic concepts about running a web site. It's just not that hard. If you have to rely on purchased software, you won't be able to get exactly what you want, you won't know what to do when things go wrong, and you'll end up spending money you don't need to. Spend the time to learn it. It will be well worth the investment.
  2. I slightly recommend music over books and other products, mainly because you can listen to the clips of an entire album in about 10 minutes and get a good enough feel for it (without buying it) to do a short review. If you have another topic that you're passionate about, great, but make sure you have a unique angle on the topic. People can get reviews about a lot of those consumer products anywhere. You need to give them a reason to come to your site.
  3. To pick up some extra pennies, sign up for Google AdSense. It probably won't generate a lot of revenue, but it's free to sign up and completely effortless to maintain.
  4. Set reasonable expectations for earnings. You've only invested $20. You're going to make 5% on most products. That means that you need to sell $400 worth of stuff to make back your investment. To make $20 an hour, what you write must generate $400 worth of purchases. You get credit for other purchases customers you send make while at Amazon besides just the product you linked to, so it's not as hard as it may sound. It won't make you rich, but it's not hard to be profitable, and it builds over time.

What You Need:

  • A credit card with about $20 available

You can specify the price that you wish to sell each currency.

Then you can log off.

By 9 am, you’re at work in your office or business place. You do your job as usual and by 5 pm, you’re finished and heading home. When you get back home around 6.30 pm, you login into your online forex trading account to see how much money you’ve made. Holy Molly, there in your account it says you have made $750! "Is this for real?", you wonder..

Yes, it is. (Your eyes are not deceiving you..). $750.00 in a day for just clicking your mouse twice and doing no work?. (Where as at your job, you work 8 hrs, but make only probably $150.00!). This is how easy it is to make money from online forex trading.

Proven Tips To Make Money Online With Affiliate Business Program!

To earn online with as an affiliate requires that you will get targeted web site traffic to the web site of your principal. To be successful in the marketing and to make an income, you will need two things: a strong will and a successful principal, which matches to you, i.e. you like the kind of business and you already know a lot of the topic or are willing to learn. As a proven affiliate program entrepreneur,

I have a list for you, which includes the affiliate program selection criterias, which you need to earn money. I believe that you have done a strong decision to earn money with affiliate program, so I leave the mental part away and concentrate on the selection criteria of the affiliate business program.

1. The image. Every single internet business has an image, a good or bad one. Your first job is to find the merchants, which have the best possible reputations. So go to some internet marketing forum, like the Warrior Forum, to get the picture. You will meet thousands of marketers discussing. Try to evaluate, if this is the kind of internet marketing forum, which matches you.

2. Research the top businesses. Do this part very carefully, without any hurry. This is the key if you really want to earn online. The first criteria is that the affiliate programs have been online over 5 years. This quarantees that the affiliate program owners know how to make an income and can share their know how to you.

3. Research the internet marketing training courses. The training courses are extremely important to succeed to make an income online. They must match to you, you have to understand the affiliate marketing terms and the copy must be enthusiastic. When you have started to promote your web site, the affiliate program must offer the rapid 24/7 email support, so that you can get answers to your questions right away. It is useful if the internet marketing courses are also in DVD, like Newbie Training Videos. The program must give you free affiliate marketing ebooks about the possibilities to make money fast online with your affiliate program, about SEO and for instance Google AdWords advertising.

4. Research the internet marketing forums. If the program has not an internet marketing forum, it is sign of a bad service. Most profitable internet marketing tips come from other affiliates. It is useful that the internet marketing forum has thousands of members from all levels of internet marketing experience.

5. Research that you will have many ways for teens to make money online sources to make extra. The truth is that you need several programs to make an income, which is big enough. The ideal program includes several sub programs, which means that when you will promote your program, you actually promote several. One work, multiple internet income.

6. Research the program's marketing team. Can you meet the owner at the internet marketing forum? Is he a respected marketer in the Internet? Can you ask questions directly from him? Does the program offer marketing assistance, what about technical support (change of HTML)? These are essential issues, if you want (or when you want) to earn extra cash quick online.

SEO for Blog

Whether you like it or not, search engine optimization for most bloggers is one of the most significant sources of traffic. When you approach it the right way, traffic from natural search will feel like a bonus.

If you want to build a successful blog with real solid content, one that people would link to voluntarily, you should take the whitehat SEO path.
Some people argue that it can be hard to determine between whitehat SEO or blackhat SEO.

They are right, sometimes there is only a thin line that separates them both. Search engine
algorithms change on a regular basis and no where we could find complete information about what are considered totally whitehat SEO.

After all, despite SEO may not be a rocket science, still a lot of Phd’s are working in Google and other search engines as well. That sounds as complex as rocket science already to me.
It is important to realize that search engines — or Google in this particular case — like to return relevant search results for their users.

That means webmasters or bloggers who create content that the audience wants to read or consume naturally should rank higher. Often they are not, that’s why you need promotion, besides search engines are working on it too.

In other words, despite how complex it may sound, you don’t need to be a master of SEO to be able to start enjoying traffic from those search engines.
If you stick to the basic principles, chances are better that you will be ranked on top of the search engine result pages (SERPs) and be there longer than if you try to be tricky.

Successful sites and blogs rely on many other factors, which will be covered partially in this concise guide. Most important of all is the blog’s audience.
If you stumble upon a blog while searching the Web, you not only want great information, but also information that answers the question you have in mind when typing your keyword into the search engine.

Besides that, you also want to be able to navigate and find the related information quickly and easily. That depends on good linking structure and design. So those two things matter as well.
There are certainly more than those points, but they should get across the idea why you should pay attention to the other blog building activities too as they are closely related to search engine optimization.

What comprises the preliminary steps?
Keyword research. While it is nice to be able to rank first on any keyword in a week, most likely that won’t happen. Not only because SEO takes time, but also because the competitiveness of the keyword. Keyword research is about identifying the keyword phrases your target market uses to find information or product. With proper research, you’ll be able to find the long tail keywords, which have lower search volume but easier to rank.

They are often more targeted too. Model your blog content around that approach.
Competitive analysis. This involves looking at the search result and determine why pages that are in the top 10 are there.
Although you can’t possibly reverse engineer the algorithms entirely, current SEO allows you to do half-scientific guess of what’s going on. When you are on this, also take notes on the marketing and monetization models of each of the top blogs or sites.
Crawlable content structure.
Blog software makes this very easy and automatic. However, it is also necessary that you compartmentalize your content into multiple categories, or use core pages that represent main categories of the blog. You may divide content into tiered structure or use links to channel your linkage to a set of core pages.

Indexable content. Text is still the most indexable type of content. If you’d like your image to be found for specific keyword search, make sure you use the alt attribute accordingly when inserting image on your blog. Include transcript or summary of audio and video content if you post it on your blog. Use Flash sparingly.

Professional design. You don’t have to hire a professional blog designer if you don’t want to. A professional design means it is able to convey your brand and message. If you choose to use a free blog theme, at least modify it a bit to avoid looking like another blog. Make sure the blog theme designer knows about search engine optimization though, so your template uses the right html tags.

Branding. If possible, you want a domain name that automatically conveys your business or contains a keyword phrase. That helps a bit in SEO but also get across your business immediately your audience see it. Don’t sweat it though. Google is not searchengine.com but Google still makes it to the top in the search engine industry.

Promote Your Blog and Content
An engine without fuel is just like a lump of metal. While it is possible to build audience slowly just with superb content, your effort won’t be optimal.

There are successful bloggers who raise to the top not because of their content. They write average content but they expose themselves to the right audience.
With millions of blogs online, you have no choice but to make your blog and content stand out from the crowd.
The only way to do that is through promotion.
When it comes to promotion, a lot of bloggers hold themselves back because they think they have to pitch something. Instead of chasing your target audience you could make them come to you by providing informative substance. That’s what I call educational marketing.

An interesting thing about this is because you are already content producer, you will be able to leverage your content.

For instance, offer to be a guest blogger on other people’s blogs. Make use of what you know to gain audience. It is so easy because you are just like stealing traffic from other established blogs.
From the search engine standpoint, promotion is done to get a network of inbound links pointing back to your blog pages.
With the right anchor text in the links, search engines do their magic to determine the rankings of your pages, along with the on-page optimization and other factors.

How To Launch Your Site

If you’ve ever started a Wordpress blog before, you know how it feels. Its exciting to launch a new blog. Most of you jump when you get that inspiration and start your new blog right away. Slow down. You need to prepare well in advance before launching your blog. Here are some tips on how to make your blog launch successful.

• Map Your Goals
Think. Ask yourself why you are starting the blog. What are your goals? Do you want to make money? How much time are you going to spend on your blog? Ask yourself all these questions. Goals in your blog are very important for achieving milestones. Just breakdown bigger goals into smaller ones and challenge yourself to accomplish them within a period of time. Its better to write them down in a notebook or something. Take some time to write some articles for your blog well in advance.

• Blog Design
The blog design is the most important aspect of a blog. It has to look attractive and professional. Take some time to check out good theme or get a custom theme designed for your blog. Get all the logos, gravatars, favicons, banners ready so that you can promote your blog effectively. A well designed blog stands out to the visitor.

• Use a Domain Parking Theme
For your blog,it is best to install Wordpress as soon as you get the domain. If you just leave your domain as it is, your domain company would will turn it into an ad farm. Install theLaunchpad theme for Wordpres. It is a domain parking theme that informs the visitor that the blog is about to launch soon and allows them to subscribe via RSS and email. Its pretty nice and professional too.

• Networking
Use networking to get traffic for your blog when it launches. If you’re an active participant in some of the social media sites, then it could be a big plus for you. Although I’m suggesting you to use sites like Twitter and Plurk to promote your site, I don’t recommend using them solely for promoting your blog since that would look spammy. I also recommend using forums for promoting your blog.
I also found out that commenting on other blogs is a great way to promote your site. Remember, the blogosphere is a big community. No blogger is an island. Connect with other bloggers, read and comment on their blogs and they will surely return the favor.

• Contests
You know that bloggers hold contests to promote their blogs. So why not hold one before you launch the blog too? After all, it only makes your blog more popular. You can hold a small contest and give away a small prize, lets say $20 cash, one among those who subscribe to your blog so that it creates some buzz. You can use forums to spread the word about your contest.

• Conclusion
If all this sounds like nonsense, let me sum up everything you need to know - Plan well and launch your blog in a professional way. Leverage the power of social media sites to promote your site or blog. Impress your visitors and convert them into loyal readers.

Making Money On The Internet, easy

Maybe you've heard people say that you can get rich on the Internet. But, if you are serious about making money on the Internet, remember, it's not a get rich overnight business. Internet success takes time, effort and knowledge. There's no easy "get rich quick" method, so you need to spend the time for building income stream from your Web site.

You can find many kinds of Web sites that have the aim, directly or indirectly, to make money. Apart from the online retailers who are using their sites to directly make money, you can find many Web sites with various moneymaking features.
Here's an excellent page describing realistic ways of making money on the Internet from your personal Web site - Work From Home. No "get rich quick" schemes. Just proven, reliable ways to to build an online business or use a Web site to expand your offline one.

The basis for building serious income is the high traffic. If your site only gets a few hundred visitors per month, as most of personal Web sites, you'll unlikely make more than pocket change.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here are some ways of making money on the Internet from your personal Web site...
BannersThey were one of the first ways of making money from hobby Web sites, however they are not so popular now since most surfers don't even look at them. In fact, the click-through rate (the percentage of visitors who actually click on a banner) has steadily dropped, from around 5% 4 years ago to less than 0.5% now.

In the Traffic-Building volume of Make Your Site SELL! 2002 (the free ebook describing all possible ways of making money on the Internet), banners are called #1 "Time and Money Wasters." Save yourself months of poorly spent time. Read this essential manual first.
If you have highly relevant, cleverly designed banners, you can beat the odds. However, you need relatively high traffic to actually make more than pocket change. In fact, most banner advertising companies prefer to only pay for actual sales (even click throughs are no longer attractive, since many people click through because they are paid to, and not because they intend to buy anything).

FreebiesUnder this category are things such as free lotto tickets and various games where you can win prizes. Often, these are implemented as pop-ups and are much more annoying than banners.
Affiliate programsThey pay you a percentage of the sales you generate for them, or for each visitor you send. This is one of the best ways of making money on the Internet. You don't have to spend time and energy creating your own product. And some of them pay 50% commission.

See Affiliate programs for more information on building income from affiliate programs.
Google AdSenseThis is one of the easiest ways of making money on the Internet for small and medium sites by displaying relevant, text-based ads from Google AdWords (Google's own advertising program) and receiving a share of the pay-per-click payment.

Other toolsThere are many tools that can help you make some pretty big commissions without your visitors even realizing that you're building income from their visits.
For example, several search engines will pay you a few cents per search made from your Web site. If a few hundred people use your search box, you'll earn a few dollars a day - not bad for a few minutes of cut & paste a small line of code within the HTML of your Web page.

Selling a Product or ServiceThis is an obvious way of making money on the Internet. To succeed in it, you have to succeed at three points...
Develop a great product that is of interest to others on the Web.Write a professional Web site designed to sell.Attract targeted customers to the site.

Most profitable keywords

Keyword Cost Per Click

Every page has a total number of words. So, for example, let's say your web page has a word total of 250, not counting all the HTML code ( roughly 1/3 to 1/2 of your web page will be the code - so just deduct that number of words from the total ).

Use a Word processing program to find out your total word count. Paste the HTML source code of the page into a blank document, then choose File> Properties >Statistics >Word Count ( your programs help file will give specific instructions for viewing page statistics ).

Let's move on. If you are optimizing that page for a single keyword, you need to figure out how many times that particular word is repeated within that 250 word total.

Manually scan the page and count every repetition of your keyword. Your Word program should also have an Edit and replace function. Paste in the code and then type in the keywords in both the edit box and the replace box. The program will replace each occurrence of the word with itself...and produce a total count for the number of repeats.

Let's assume for this exercise that you have used that keyword 10 times on your page. To calculate the keyword density - take that figure and divide it by the total number of words on your page. So in this case 10 divided by 250 = .04

Keyword density is always referred to as a percentage of the total word count for the page. So now you need to multiply .04 by 100 to get the percentage figure.

Your calculation would look like this;

.04 x 100 = 4%

The page has a keyword density of 4%.

For effective optimizing that will boost your pages into the Top 20 spots on the major search engines you are aiming for a keyword density of between 2 - 5%.

What you have just been shown is about as simple as it gets for working out the keyword density of a web page. To recap then the formula looks like this;

10 divided by 250 = .04 x 100 = 4% -or-
keyword count divided by total word count x 100 = keyword density in %

To save time, don't stress too much over exactly matching the density of your page to the Top listed pages on the search engines.

Algorithms fluctuate constantly at the major search engines so it is much simpler to optimize a few pages for different weighting or densities. A few pages at 2%, 3%, 4%, and 5% keyword density will mean at least one of your pages should rank well on a major search engine.

why internet marketers FAIL

1. They Don’t Have a Plan: Many of the same actions that are required to be a success offline apply to the online business world as well. Just as it is important to have a marketing and business plan for a brick and mortar business, the same is true for an internet marketing business. You need to have a plan. It will keep you focused and provide direction for your efforts. If you do not have a plan and have no idea what you are going to be doing from day to day, then you will likely be in trouble.

2. They Don’t Work That Plan: It is one thing to have a plan. It is another thing to take action. If you are a planner and not a doer, then you will fail. It is very easy and even quite fun to come up with plans. However, if you never give them any feet, then you are wasting your time and brain power. Instead, commit to putting your plan into action everyday. Don’t let fear or laziness curtail your dreams. You will regret it later on.

3. They Work Only When They Feel Like It: There is some dirty myth that if you work online, you can work whenever you want to and can skip out on working whenever you don’t feel like it. While this is true, it doesn’t mean that you will make money if you run your business this way. The same holds true offline. Sure, you can go to work when you want and play hookie if you feel like it but the result will likely be the loss of your job and income. This true even if you work online. You don’t have to work, but in most cases you won’t make any money.

4. They Give Up Easily: The business world is not for quitters. I believe many people give up on their internet businesses so easily because they underestimate the amount of work that will be required. They fall for the “make $100,000 in 6 months, working only 30 minutes a day” advertisements. These are obviously a bunch of bunk but people don’t find that out until after they have tried and failed with these systems. If people had realistic expectations, they might be willing to hang in there a little longer.

5. They Don’t Track Their Advertising: Not tracking your advertising is one of the biggest mistakes that you can make. If you have no idea where your sales are coming from, you will be unable to ramp up advertising at those places that are making you money and will continue to waste money on unprofitable campaigns. To avoid this, be sure to track all of your web pages and ads. You will be so thankful that you did.
